After Nemelka explained away his checkered past as simply a matter of him “running away from his calling as a prophet,” he strategically convinced Christine Marie over a period of 2 months (City Weekly, 2001) that he was now the true mouthpiece of God. Once she believed him, he then used his mantle as a ‘prophet’ and his undue influence as her ecclesiastical leader to convince her to ‘marry him,’ compel her to pass cruel and traumatic tests, and to destroy her life.

I’ve been a casual observer of CN and his organization (if it can be called that) for a year or so now. Why? I don’t know other than it fascinates me. Not anything CN teaches or espouses, just the dynamics of it all. As a non follower/believer, I’m not -nor ever will be emotionally tied to what CN has or hasn’t done, preached, or will preach. With that said, I have some genuine questions I’m hoping someone can answer. From what I can gather (and it isn’t easy given the obvious shifting around over the years), CN is an atheist. He doesn’t believe in a God, nor Jesus Christ, no atonement, no devil, no sin, etc etc. With that premise…
1- What saving graces does his plan/philosophy offer the rank & file human being?
Below we have copied most of the review provided by an anonymous reviewer of Nemelka’s weekend podcasts. To read the entire thing, go to http://sealednot.wordpress.com/liberty-park/
In summary, it looks like it was an arrogant, self-aggrandizing, narcissistic event designed to promote his books that are not selling, his radio show that has no listeners, and bring himself glory and fame because he could not succeed in the world of normal people who have integrity. Nemelka uses the reverse-racist card to try to elevate himself as someone who cares about the downtrodden when, in reality, his history will show that he actually trods on people himself. Actually stomp may be a more accurate word for those who dare question him. Chris Nemelka is himself the creator of downtrodden and destroyed people. His rhetoric about helping the poor and downtrodden is nauseating. But it’s necessary for him to maintain his cover as a benevolent Christ figure.
He also warns against proselyting. This is a strategic move on his part because only people looking for “further light and knowledge” or for the sealed portion to come forward will be open to his con game. Once they are open to his con-game, they will open their hearts and their wallets, if not more. Until they question his inconsistencies, or wake up and leave him. Then it will be time for their stomp, stomp, stomping. History will be rewritten, threats of eternal damnation will be hurled, and the character assassination will begin and it will not be pretty.
It is an outrage for this liar devoid of conscience to compare himself to Christ in any way, shape or form.
On the 20th day of April, 2001, I, being incarcerated in the Salt Lake County Jail, was feeling somewhat depressed in spirit, and selfishly thought of myself and the miserable state in which – as I perceived it – I was presently in due to my circumstances. I began to feel a loneliness that permeated the very depths of my soul and began to torment me quite considerably. In this self-preoccupation, I thought on all the wonderful sisters that the Lord had prepared to help me in the work that he had commanded me to do.
The following article was found on the web site of the Exit and Support Network. This article is not intended to imply that Chris Nemelka is a sociopath, but to provide information to help people understand what a sociopath is.
A number of mind-controlling cult leaders may exhibit many of the behavioral characteristics of a sociopath–an outstanding ability to charm and seduce followers. Since they appear apparently normal, they are not easily recognizable as deviant or disturbed. Although only a trained professional can make a diagnosis of whether or not someone is a sociopath, it is important to be able to recognize the personality type in order to avoid further abuse. These traits also apply to a one-on-one cultic relationship.
Language can be used without effort by them to confuse and convince their audience. Captivating storytellers that exude self-confidence, they can spin a web that intrigues others. Since they are persuasive, they have the capacity to destroy their critics verbally or emotionally.
Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They dominate and humiliate their victims.
Grandiose Sense of Self
Feels entitled to certain things as “their right.” Craves adulation and attendance. Must be the center of attention with their own fantasies as the “spokesman for God,” “enlightened,” “leader of humankind,” etc. Creates an us-versus-them mentality
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and able to pass lie detector tests.
It’s one thing to be a religious fraud. It’s another thing to commit financial fraud. Some people use one to commit the other. When considering whether Chris Nemelka deserves to be label a fraud of any kind, here is an article that might shed some insight.
THE THREE PIECES OF FRAUD
“A con artist requires three elements to commit fraud: opportunity, motivation and rationalization. First, he must have the chance to steal money and, second, a reason to steal it (usually involving profit or revenge). The third element is the unique part of fraud: He needs an explanation for himself as to why it’s OK that he’s doing it—an unappreciative boss, for example, or sometimes merely a big company that “won’t miss the money.”
Consider those elements in the case of Christopher Nemelka before jumping to conclusions. Does he have the opportunity? Does he have a motive? Does he have a way to rationalize it?
Below is a letter submitted by Julie Taggart in response to Harry Dschaak outing Chris Nemelka for, once again, posing as someone he wasn’t. In this case, he was pretending to be a General Authority of the Mormon Church – one of the respected and honorable human beings who has spent his life in the service of others, and now is one of the leaders of the Mormon church. Horrified that the church leaders did not reward him with the attention that he desperately sought, it is our opinion that Harry is correct, and that Christopher Nemelka took on a false identity, posed as someone named “NO BEESWAX,” then attributed this online persona to being a General Authority of the church named David A. Bednar – in an effort to show his followers that the Mormon church was afraid of him.
It’s no secret that people love to talk about who their ancestors were, especially if they were somebody famous, or heroic. There is some kind of pride that comes with knowing that courage, integrity, and talent is a part of our own gene pool, and it gives us a little boost in our own confidence to believe that we too can become something great.
Since nobody knows for sure, just how or if the reincarnation thing works, (or if it even exists), the focus of finding out who our roots are has usually been on searching out names and stories from within the family tree, but since these are mostly mundane reports of general goodness, and not known for producing direct links to celebrity greatness, we are left to wonder and worry about our own potential. But all this is fast changing.

Do you see John the Beloved in this photo? Keep clicking and studying. At Nemelka’s symposium in the spring of 2011, Nemelka not only announced that John the Beloved was there, but he also claimed that John the Beloved was captured on video tape. The last we heard, that video tape was available for 45,000 pesos or some other ungodly figure. No doubt this maneuver serves multiple manipulative purposes:
1. To minimize the number of adversaries who witness what Chris said at the symposium as it contains false statements, slander, contradicts prior statements and could get him in hot water.
2. To bilk his cash-worthy followers out of thousands of dollars.
If you didn’t seem him in the photo above, try the photo below.
Here at Scrutiny Central, we try to emphasize the importance of having integrity, being truthful, and fair. This message of ours is easily over-looked in our featured articles, because we think these things should go without saying. But there are some who don’t see the importance of their teachers having integrity, honesty, or playing fair. Today, in the wake of Christopher’s announcement that his message will never be diminished by anything anyone, (including himself) ever does, I received the following e-mail from one of Christopher’s young fans. He goes by the name of Ken Panza, and he says he doesn’t care what anybody thinks about his position, or what anybody has to say about him, and this is good, because I want you to see for yourself what Ken Panza thinks of Christopher, his wonderful words, and his character. I also want you, (and each of you), to understand perfectly how I feel about those who are of like mindedness with Mr. Panza, as revealed in his e-mail. This first e-mail is the most recent letter that Ken received from me prior to his response, (the subject of this post) , which shortly follows it.
Re: Sealed Portion version
Thank goodness that you are not a teller in any bank he might rob.Thank goodness you are not a person with any sense of humanity, aside from your own self-centeredness..
I asked Ken if he had a problem with me going public with out “mature discussion” and in the end he assured me that he has no problem with it, saying he wanted to be sure to read what I wrote. I think it is important to note that Ken’s libertine attitude is not a new one, or even a bad one to subscribe to, so long as the tables are never turned and you find yourself on the receiving end of a person who has no integrity, honesty, and doesn’t play fair. Of course Ken is so filled with wisdom at such a young age, that it is hard not to envy him.
Thanks to the incredibly revealing announcement that we have just received from Christopher’s own blog, we as a public service can move forward with not only his permission, but with greater confidence. There are several segments of Christopher’s announcement that we will be examining (as is expected) over the next little while, in order to bring to light some of the things that might otherwise escape the attention of a person sitting in the viewing audience being distracted by all the “smoke and mirrors” that we, (here at Scrutiny Central), have come to readily recognize.
Here is a clip from the announcement:
“The enemies and critics of this work will continue to undermine my character and do what they do so well: distort and changes facts to present me in as dark a character as they possibly can. But no matter what they say about me … no matter what I might do … nothing will change the information unfolded in the books presented in this Marvelous Work and a Wonder® … ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!”
Here, you can hear for yourself, that Christopher is pleased with his work. He thinks that his millions of words of wisdom and truth will stand the test of time… forever. He is dismissing himself from taking any responsibility for any unscrupulous thing he may have done (his works) in his life on his way to this day, while at the same time is exempting himself from having to respond to any disclosure of any incriminating evidence that we, (the wise guys) might uncover and present to the jury of our peers.
This article was discovered in Chris’ former Yahoo discussion group after the evidence showed that Christopher Nemelka was posing as a Salt Lake attorney named “Joshua Farnsworth.” In 2005, Christopher was using the alter ego of Joshua Farnsworth to psychologically abuse people. It seems that the men who were the biggest threats to Chris received the biggest insults and condemnation.
Even after the irrefutable evidence was presented many people, including Harry Dschaak, chose to ignore the facts. Blayne wrote a solid explanation for what happens to the brain that we at LEGION decided should not be hidden from the public.
As Blayne concluded -
It’s quite an interesting phenomena and potentially could hurt a lot
For that reason, we have put this article in the MUST READ section. Thank you Blayne.
Check out Christopher’s official “about the author” flap in his book. We got a few screaming cackles out of this. Right click and “View Image” to see it larger, then bathe yourself in the gentle love this humble man has for all of humanity. If you would like to break into song when finished,
the most appropriate song for this occasion is listed just above in bold for your convenience. You could make a candlelight service out of this experience if you would like, in honor of the author with no last name who is least among us and has nothing.
Feel free to comment here, or at The City Weekly.
Here are some highlights.
Didn’t Do Your Homework
TAGGART: 1. But what a disservice Stephen Dark does to readers, the LDS community and the world for mocking the man who holds the only solution that could end the worldwide economic crisis.
Here is a perfect response lifted from the City Weekly quotes on the article (4th page of quote), written by Sanjiv Bhattacharya:
“Oh and there was a time when the Worldwide United Foundation proposed a plan to end world hunger. How’s that going then? I’d imagine that in a time of recession Nemelka’s solution to the hunger issue would be all the rage. Do keep me posted.”
In my opinion, the placement of a headstone memorial for Chris Nemelka as the reincarnated Hyrum Smith in the Hyrum Smith family cemetery plot in Salt Lake City is not only clear evidence of Nemelka’s continued manipulation of others but also that he continues to victimize others. It seems Judge Lindberg’s 2002 assessment of Christopher is as relevant today as it was then.
The Smith family’s and LDS Church’s silence in response to the pathetic letter written to them by Rodney Vessels, Nemelka’s attorney (or more likely by Chris, pretending he was Rod Vessels) was brilliant. A narcissist hates to be ignored. It is the best response.
